The walk was fantastic and it was a beautiful day for it! There were tons of people there! I finally got to meet Kathy Baker, mother to Jacob Baker, who has
HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome), meaning the left side of his heart did not develop in utero. His condition is totally opposite from our Jake's. Our Jake is missing the right side of his heart. As my husband and Kathy both pointed out, together our two Jake's make a whole heart! How cool is that?
It was so nice to finally meet Kathy and her oldest son Aiden, they are such a wonderful family and have really been through trying times. Kathy and I hope to spread awareness for CHD's so that other families can cope and have support if this terrible defect strikes their family.
Thanks to everyone who supported this cause and continues to support Jacob and our family. We love you all!
